This programmer can be used for all PICs (Microchip), many µC from ATMEL, serial memories with SPI- and I²C-Interface and a lot of other devices.

The programming devices P16PGD / PGP were developed for the users of the PIC®- series, in order to provide a fast and simple way of programming the PIC µControllers.
These devices are particularly meant for prototype manufacturing. Hence, special efforts have been made to ensure a simple and safe operation as well as to provide at a low price.
The software needed for the operation of the P16PGD is available as shareware and hence significantly contributes to the reduction of costs. This becomes particularly more important in the developmental activities, but however, it also makes the devices attractive for the private user. The software for the programming device P16PGP is not share-ware and is already included in the package price.
As per the current situation, 70 µController from the PIC® series can be programmed with the available software. However, components already programmed can also be read. Storage areas can be manipulated and checked with the integrated editor. The list of the already defined PIC - µControllers can also be easily extended to program new PIC types not yet included
. The devices are provided with a high-quality 40-pin ZIF socket, which offers flexibility to the users, to quickly and safely fit and remove all components in housings upto DIL-40. For components with the PLCC housing, adapters are available.
The concept of P16PGD / PGP also permits In-Circuit-Programming of the PIC - µControllers. For this purpose, special connection leads can be supplied. These connection leads can be directly attached to the inserted PIC - Components. Through a 25-pin cable, the device is connected to the parallel interface of the PC.
The software operates both on DOS and Windows 3.1/95/98/2000/NT/XP. On the front panel, light emitting diodes (LEDs) give quick and clear information on the corresponding status of the equipment. The compact but robust aluminium section housing permits both mobile handling as well as operation in workshop, test field and production.
